Vision and Mission

To inspire, encourage and support women within the Middle East (ME) to achieve their full potential along their career path from training to working in the field of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and empower them in achieving their professional and personal goals

Who can join? Any student, trainee, or physician in the field of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery within the ME (includes those who may have lived or trained in the ME and now live in other areas of the world)

Goals and Objectives

  • Enable and support women otolaryngologists through mentorship and networking opportunities created virtually and in person.
  • Collaborate with members of the Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ME-OTO) and create opportunities to join committees on a society level and strengthen the role of this branch within the society.
  • Encourage women otolaryngologists in the ME by recognizing and focusing on their challenges, nurturing their development, and enriching the society with women as leaders in their field.
  • Collaborate with other Women in Otolaryngology Societies worldwide to expand our reach, gain insight and learning opportunities
  • Enable interactions between members from different countries within the ME to communicate matters of interest to and about women in the field of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
  • Recognize and support women in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in achieving a work life balance and opening discussions on maternity and breastfeeding.
